What is VitaPure ARTRO
VitaPure ARTRO contains ingredients that benefit the musculoskeletal system.
Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate are natural compounds found in healthy cartilage, particularly in the fluid around the joints. Chondroitin is a major component of cartilage that helps it retain water. Glucosamine sulfate helps joints regeneration. Glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate naturally improve condition in joints related with aging or injuries and decrease pain, erythema and swelling.
Glucosamine sulfate functions are the primary building block for proteoglycans, large molecules in cartilage that give it viscoelastic (buffering) properties. When taken orally, glucosamine sulfate is absorbed readily into the system and can be traced to cartilage as soon as four hours after consumption.
Similar to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, glucosamine sulfate has been shown to have unique anti-inflammatory effects. Additionally, in some laboratory tests, the glucosamine supplement demonstrated a protective effect on the cartilage as well. These studies suggest that glucosamine sulfate may inhibit the breakdown of cartilage associated with osteoarthritis and may have the potential to help build-up cartilage.
Chondroitin sulfate is a larger molecule also found in cartilage. Chondroitin sulfate has been studied much less extensively, but early results show that it also seems to work as an anti-inflammatory and reduces pain. Some laboratory studies suggest that chondroitin sulfate may slow cartilage breakdown associated with osteoarthritis and even stimulate cartilage growth.
Collagen is a major compound of the skin, joint cartilages, tendons and bones. Collagen benefits skin elasticity and hydration, and strengthens the bones. Collagen is important and helps maintain the integrity of the cartilage, which is the rubber-like tissue that protects the joints.
As the skeleton forms the structure of the body, it is vital that it maintains its strength, even after breaks and injuries. Collagen is used in bone grafting as it has a triple helical structure, making it a very strong molecule. It is ideal for use in bones, as it does not compromise the structural integrity of the skeleton. The triple helical structure of collagen prevents it from being broken down by enzymes, it enables adhesiveness of cells and it is important for the proper assembly of the extracellular matrix.
Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is a powerful antioxidant. The combination with collagen is quite effective, because Vitamin C serves as a co-factor in the collagen synthesis - the main protein in joint tissue and bone. Vitamin C is associated with alleviation of pain and swelling conditions in joints.
Zingiber officinale (Ginger) is used in cases of cartilage structure loss and joints injuries.
The main constituents are gingerol and its derivatives. They improve joint mobility and reduce pain and swelling.
It has been used since time immemorial as an anti-arthritic agent, and scientific studies have validated the ethno-medicinal effects of ginger.
Manganese: is a trace mineral, co-factor in many enzyme processes. Manganese is essential for bone health, including bone development and maintenance. It improves bone mineral density and protects from bone loss.
Manganese is an essential human dietary element. It is present as a coenzyme in several biological processes, which include macronutrient metabolism, bone formation, and free radical defense systems. It is a critical component in dozens of proteins and enzymes. The human body contains about 12 mg of manganese, mostly in the bones. The soft tissue remainder is concentrated in the liver and kidneys. In the human brain, the manganese is bound to manganese metalloproteins, most notably glutamine synthetase in astrocytes.
